Escort RS2000 factory header too, helped dad doing this. The car is starting to have trouble with enginebay/oil temps, so this is first step to lowering some of those.

Too bad it’s not pretty tho. Good thing my engine bay is crowded, when (if) I do headers they’ll be hidden. Gives me the option of not dropping the money on ceramic coated ones. I could never do that if they were exposed.

Yup, it can rust them out faster. Moisture gets trapped.

I read of NASCAR headers only lasting one race when wrapped, not sure this’ll be that short lived. I’ll make an update post if it turns out to ruin them for sure :)

Nah, on the street it should last a while. Just not “forever” like ceramic coatings.
